It was after pulling the clan standard from the ground before advancing on the enemy that they saw an eerie gleam of light reflected from the hole in the earth where the standard had been placed.
The light was reflected from a mysterious crystal ball and, following Bruce’s great victory, was henceforth considered to be a lucky talisman. Much cherished, the crystal remains in the possession of the clan to this day.
