Many Pughs were on the frontline of invasion from the Anglo-Saxons and, later, the Anglo-Normans, while in more peaceful times many have gained fame in the worlds of the stage, art, sport and music.
A leading West End and Broadway theatre producer, along with his business partner Dafydd Rogers, David Pugh was born in London in 1959; the recipients of a host of awards, their many stage productions include Art, The Blues Brothers, The Full Monty and Calendar Girls.
